SUMMARY:Healing Democracy 2026 Kick-Off
DESCRIPTION:Join us for Our 2026 Healing Democracy Kick-Off\, a statewide initiative of the Movement Chaplain Network in partnership with MNIPL. \nWith the 2026 election coming up\, we are partnering together to find ways to support our communities in feeling grounded\, safe\, and supported as in the time before\, during\, and after this upcoming election. We will be offering training and support for three different ways to get involved\, all of which are available to everyone\, clergy or not: \nPoll Chaplaincy: For five years\, trained Poll Chaplains have brought calm\, nonpartisan care to election spaces in Minnesota. Poll Chaplains accompany people in and around the voting experience. They offer a calm\, compassionate presence\, help lower tension\, connect people with trusted resources when needed\, and make space for the hope\, pride\, and joy that are also part of participating in democracy. \nDigital Democracy: Digital Chaplains bring grounded\, caring presence into the online spaces and relationships they already inhabit. They listen\, offer support\, share trustworthy resources\, and help people navigate fear\, uncertainty\, and difficult moments with care. You don’t need to be clergy\, a tech expert\, or an influencer. Anyone\, anywhere can participate. \nCare Communities: Help your community of faith\, conscience\, religious or spiritual practice become a place of care. Community Care Teams equip congregations and other communities to care for their people and neighbors before\, during\, and after the election. Together\, communities identify the relationships\, spaces\, spiritual practices\, and gifts they already have and build a plan for offering grounded\, compassionate care when it is needed most. \nJoin us to learn more about these different tactics and how you can help.
