Meet with Rep. Pete Stauber for Federal Climate Action
We are calling all people of faith in Congressional District 8 to join MNIPL for a virtual meeting with Rep. Pete Stauber on Monday, April 12th. With urgency growing to act on the climate crisis and the shifting political dynamics in Washington, our federal leaders must act boldly for a just and sustainable future. They need to hear from their constituents that addressing the climate crisis and creating a clean energy future are top priorities for the people that they represent — especially for people of faith.
We will meet on April 12th at 3:30 pm for a time of grounding and a brief training. Rep. Stauber will join us at 4:00 pm. Click here to RSVP and receive a Zoom link.
Our list of speakers on the call is now set. You’re invited to join the call as an audience member – the more people who attend, the stronger our message will be for climate action!
In addition, if you’re interested in working with your faith or spiritual community to prepare a 1-2 minute statement to share with Rep. Stauber, please indicate so in the RSVP form. MNIPL staff will be in touch with you soon! There will be an opportunity to share your statement after the meeting to continue to build our message with Rep. Stauber.
This event is for people who live in or are part of a congregation located in Congressional District 8. We’ll be scheduling meetings with other federal representatives, so share this MNIPL Forward on Federal Climate Action event page with others throughout Minnesota.
