SUMMARY:CCRN September Gathering: Healing Democracy Through Community Care Teams Part 1
DESCRIPTION:The Community Climate Resilience Network (CCRN) supports communities of faith\, conscience\, or spiritual practice to become centers of resilience for their neighbors in the face of climate disruption. \nThis fall communities are looking forward\, with some anticipation\, to a free and fair election. Our dream is that everyone is able to engage in the democratic process with confidence and clarity. As people process the mixture of emotions (fear\, hope\, uncertainty) we want to do that surrounded by love and community. \nDuring our hour together the CCRN team will host community members who have participated in our resilience hub community of practice for a fishbowl conversation about how communities of faith\, conscience\, and spiritual or religious practice are uniquely poised to meet this moment. We will then break-out into facilitated rooms where we will discuss the process of engaging a “care team” in making the preparations for supporting community and holding space this fall. \nRSVP for our September Session! \nCLICK HERE TO RSVP!

SUMMARY:Sacred Sites Tour | September 29
DESCRIPTION:Join us for this open-to-the-public Sacred Sites Tour! \nSacred Sites Tours invite us to learn the history and importance of these sacred sites\, to reflect on our own roles in the continuing systems of colonization and extraction\, and to develop plans for future action on reparation and repair. Participants move beyond just learning about the history of these places and into a deeper relationship with their own responsibility for honoring\, protecting\, and repairing our relationship with these places and the Indigenous people who originated here. \nSpots are available on a first-come-first-serve basis. This tour is meant for individuals or groups of less than 4. If you’re interested in scheduling a tour for a larger group\, please reach out to Jim Bear Jacobs at jimbear@mnipl.org \nCLICK HERE TO RSVP! \nOur Sacred Sites Tours are free to attend\, but they are not free for us to put on. \nPlease consider making a donation to support the sustainability of this work. We suggest $50 – $100 per person\, but please don’t let cost be a factor in your decision to attend! \nClick here to make a donation! \n
