SUMMARY:Together in this Moment: Community as a Source of Resilience (CCRN February 2026)
DESCRIPTION:Please join us for a gathering of the Community Climate Resilience Network (CCRN) to talk about how we can build our resilience through supporting each other in times of crisis. \nIn the face of the violence and violation of rights in our communities\, we know that many of our community climate resilience hubs have been bringing people together\, coordinating support\, and trying to keep their communities safe. We are learning in real time what it truly means to serve as hubs of resilience in a time of crisis. \nKelly Sherman-Conroy\, Native theologian and community leader\, and Terri Burnor\, Executive Director of the Minnesota Unitarian Universalist Social Justice Alliance\, will join us in a conversation and invitation into action\, and you will have the opportunity to share and learn from your peers about what we’re trying and what more we can do. Other special guests will be announced soon. \nCLICK HERE TO RSVP!

SUMMARY:Be the Spark Training
DESCRIPTION:Join us for Be the Spark! \nParticipants can expect an opportunity to learn\, reflect\, connect\, and build  community and movement organizing skills. .You will leave with a practical toolkit for public advocacy\, with a blueprint for inviting people to take concrete action on the issues that matter to you\, and with a framework and narrative for movement building towards justice and liberation. \nThe work of building a more just and sustainable world is collective work – no one person or organization can change the world alone. We are part of a movement of people who care passionately about this world and the people who live in it. Our ability to influence change at the Capitol\, help our neighbors transition into more sustainable energy\, and repair the harms of centuries of greed and extraction is dependent on people like you and your willingness to organize your friends\, neighbors\, and communities to live differently in this world. \nBe the Spark offers training and conversation that will help you grow your capacity to organize\, build your skills through connection with other passionate people\, and help you inspire others into climate justice work. In each session\, you’ll get tools and practices that will help you inspire your people\, focus your purpose\, and identify tangible actions for successes you can celebrate. \n\nFacilitated by Julia Nerbonne (MNIPL Executive Director) and Analyah Schlaeger dos Santos (Director\, Youth N Power)\nLunch\, coffee\, and snacks provided\nThe focus of this training will be intergenerational with robust youth participation\n\nInterested in attending? Please consider making a gift to support this free event! Click here to make a donation.  \nWe know that this training is being offered on Saturday\, and so it may not be accessible to people observing shabbat. Accordingly\, we are also offering a Sunday training date. Click here to learn more about our Sunday date. \nCLICK HERE TO RSVP! \n  \n

SUMMARY:A Call for Global Repair
DESCRIPTION:Join MNIPL and our partners at ActionAid USA for an important presentation and discussion on international climate justice! \nCLICK HERE TO SIGN UP \nGlobal systems of extraction and greed have exacerbated an unequal world\, one where the countries who have benefited least face the most dire consequences of climate change. We believe that in order to address the impacts of global climate change\, the countries whose governments and corporations have caused the most harm to the planet and its people must pay their fair share to repair it. \nStaff and board members of MNIPL will share about how our organization has taken action to redress global harms\, from helping to rebuild after floods in Bangladesh to working with local\, national\, and international organizers in successfully pushing the United States to commit to funding for global repair. \nSpecial guest Brandon Wu of ActionAid will share about what has happened over the last year since this funding was committed and talk about where we go from here. Your support is desperately needed to make sure the US makes good on its promises and commits to funding repair in way that ensures that those most impacted by climate change decide what repair looks like for them — not the US. \nCome for a light lunch and dialogue and leave with a renewed promise to help the US to show up globally in a way that promotes justice and peace. \n
