Johannah Frisby, Outreach Fellow
Johannah is the Outreach Fellow for MNIPL focusing on developing the Climate Justice Household Program, which engages households committed to effective and sustained action in response to the climate crisis.
Before joining MNIPL, Johannah worked as a swim coach and after school Spanish teacher. Due to the disruptions of the pandemic, she was able to enter into the environmental justice workforce with MNIPL. This has allowed her to draw from her degree in Peace Studies from the College of Saint Benedict and experience working in environmental policy in Washington, DC, plus field work in Chilean Patagonia.
Johannah gained a breadth of admiration for the natural world while growing up in the Twin Cities, spending summers with family on the farm, and in the woods in Northern Minnesota. She continues to spend time outside backpacking, painting, and daily walks.
Johannah is a member of St. John the Evangelist in Saint Paul where she serves on the Creation Care team and as a Youth Leader.
