Johannah Frisby, Administrative & Programs Coordinator

As Administrative and Programs Coordinator, Johannah handles the needs of the office and bookkeeping tasks and is the organizer for the Climate Justice Household and Energy Efficiency programs. Johannah strives to bring engaging climate action into people's everyday lives. She does this primarily through presentations with congregations and community outreach.

Before joining MNIPL, Johannah worked as a swim coach and after-school Spanish teacher until the COVID-19 pandemic brought her to MNIPL as a Fellow. This gave her the opportunity to use her degree in peace studies with a focus in environmental justice from the College of Saint Benedict.

Johannah draws from experiences that span environmental policy work in Washington, DC and conservation studies in Chilean Patagonia to bring passion, knowledge, and a hunger for learning to the climate justice movement in Minnesota. Johannah is a member of Saint John the Evangelist Episcopal Church in St. Paul where she serves as the lead of the Creation Care team.

Outside of work, you can catch Johannah swimming, creating, and taking leisurely strolls along the Mississippi River.
