Today, the trauma and destruction of the Doctrine of Discovery surrounds us. We’ve felt it in Operation Metro Surge. We heard it in the Legislature’s opposition to protection for wild rice. And it is the heart of Representative Stauber’s effort to mine the Boundary Waters.
In this learning lab, Jim Bear Jacobs and Jessica Intermill will continue our exploration of the role of the Doctrine of Discovery in our lives today.
We’ll move away from lecture-style learning toward deep conversation, and we’ll answer your questions about how the Doctrine shows up in today’s world and intersects with reparatory work.
