Data Center Moratorium Now: Earth Day of Action at the Capitol
Concerned Minnesotans are opposing hyperscale data center projects in local towns, cities, and counties across the state.
With more than 20 active hyperscale data center proposals in Minnesota, the “Data Center Bill” passed in the 2025 special session falls short of creating a comprehensive regulatory framework to adequately address the impact of these projects.
The 2026 legislative session ends May 17th, and we need lawmakers to act NOW on behalf of the people, NOT the Big Tech billionaires behind these projects.
Join Rise & Repair on the afternoon of Earth Day (April 22nd, 2026) for a Community Hearing on Hyperscale Data Centers in the rotunda featuring testimony from impacted constituents, concerned residents & policy experts asking lawmakers for immediate action on data centers before session concludes.
To Our Lawmakers: Listen, Learn & Legislate – We need a Data Center Moratorium NOW!
