Forward on Federal Climate Action with Rep. Phillips

We are calling all people of faith in Congressional District 3 to join MNIPL for a virtual meeting with Rep. Dean Phillips on Monday, May 10th. With urgency growing to act on the climate crisis and the shifting political dynamics in Washington, our federal leaders must act boldly for a just and sustainable future. They need to hear from their constituents that addressing the climate crisis and creating a clean energy future are top priorities for the people that they represent — especially for people of faith.

We will meet on May 10th at 10:15 am for a time of grounding and a brief training. Rep. Phillips will join us at 10:45 pm. Click here to RSVP and receive a Zoom link.

You are invited to participate in this meeting in one of two ways:

1) Work with your faith or spiritual community to prepare a 1-3 minute statement on why you want federal climate action. MNIPL will help you invite members of your community to join a virtual meeting, led by MNIPL staff, as you brainstorm together your congregation’s unique climate story. This is a great way to bring in new people from your congregation into climate action – especially during Covid-19! Speaking roles are limited.

2) Join the May 10th meeting as an audience member. The more people who are on the call, the stronger our message will be that people of faith in CD3 demand climate action!
