Faiths 4 Climate Justice: Multi-Faith Prayer and Intention Gathering
On October 18, faith and spiritual communities will join in solidarity for the global “Faiths 4 Climate Justice” action to demand world leaders act more boldly on climate justice! Two weeks before the international UN Climate Talks, and following the “People vs. Fossil Fuels” week of action in Washington DC, this is the time to unite in calling for a just transition from fossil fuels.
As part of this global action, MNIPL is hosting a gathering for federal climate justice. People of faith and conscience are invited to join us at noon at the entrance to the Federal Building in downtown Minneapolis. Through song, prayer, meditation, and silence, we will make a public stand for climate justice and a livable world.
Afterwards, please join us as we cross the Stone Arch Bridge to Father Hennepin Bluff Park (a 20-minute journey) for community time together. Lunch from Gandhi Mahal’s Curry In A Hurry will be provided (with a free-will offering). Masks will be required, and all activities will be outdoors.

PS. Check out this MNIPL toolkit for ideas on how your faith or spiritual community can take action on October 17 to amplify this global action! You’ll even have an opportunity to create fabric “prayer squares” that will be brought to Glasgow!
