Patricia Torres Ray

Patricia Torres Ray is a community leader and former Minnesota State Senator, representing District 63, which includes parts of Minneapolis and Richfield.  She is the first Latina woman to serve in the Minnesota Senate. Torres Ray immigrated from Colombia to Minnesota in 1987, where she learned to speak English, earned a BA in urban studies from the University of Minnesota, and a MPA from the UMN Humphrey Institute.  She and her partner have two sons and live in South Minneapolis.
